Alexander married Elizabeth DOUGLAS, daughter of Archibald DOUGLAS 2nd of Glenbervie and Agnes KEITH, before 24 April 1544(charter).¹ (Elizabeth DOUGLAS was born about 1525.)

"Sir Alexander Falconer of Halkerton, only son, had a charter to himself and Elizabeth Douglas his wife, of the hill of Halkerton, 24 April 1544, as son and heir of his father, was seised in the mains of Halkerton 23 October 1549, and in lands of Letham 5 November 1549. He had a charter of the lands of Fernychtie and others in Nairnshire 18 November 1556, and died 10 November 1587. He married Elizabeth, only daughter of Sir Archibald Douglas of Glenbervie, and had issue" (page 245)
