"1635, June 25. -The King granted to Alexander Bannerman, younger of Elsick, the lands of Mekill Crichie, which Robert Paull, burgess of Aberdeen, and Cristina Straquhan, his spouse, resigned in favour of Bannerman, as assignee of William Gordon of Broadland by disposition dated June 2, 1630 (Great Seal)."
