George married Isobel GORDON, daughter of John GORDON of Newton and Margaret UDNY, by 7 May 1607.1 2 (Isobel GORDON was born about 1591.)


  Marriage Notes:

"Isobel (Gordon) is also mentioned in the Privy Council Register in 1594. She married George Gordon of Beldorny (Balbithan MS., p. 12 ; Newton MS.). On May 7, 1607, she and her husband had sasine in Drumrossie and other lands - probably in security for her tocher (Aberdeen Sasines)."

"The lands thereof, situate on and near the river Deveron, were wadsetted and apprised from George, the 3rd laird of Beldorney in 1633 to one David Rickard, burgess of Aberdein, and Issobell Gordoun, his spouse, and a few years later passed into the hands of Lyon of Muresk.

A few years later the wadset of Beldorney seems to have been transferred to John Lyon of Muresk, son of Alexander Lyon of Muresk."
