Janet next married George HALIBURTON of Pitcur and Gask, son of William HALIBURTON of Pitcur and Gask and First wife UNKNOWN, after 9 September 1513.2 (George HALIBURTON of Pitcur and Gask was born about 1495 4 and died about 1538 4.)

"1506 First Marriage to James Crichton In the following year, when Janet Ogston wed her neighbour, James Crichton heir apparent of Ruthven, she brought in marriage the lands of Kilry and Glenisla.[5 NRS GD243/12/1 items 5-6.]

1515 Second Marriage to George Haliburton After the death of James Crichton in 1513, Janet married secondly to George Haliburton of Pitcur, probably about 1515.

1538 Widow of George Haliburton Janet was described as the relict and executrix of George Haliburton in a deed of James, Archbishop of St Andrews on 17 June 1538 which also listed the above named children. [6 NRS GD45/17/8]

On documents she signed herself, 'Jonet Ogistoun.' She also had her own seal bearing the Ogston arms of three mascles on a chief two lions passant and the legend in lower case Gothic 'S.joneto.ogston'." [....]
