General Notes: The birth certificate issued for Catherine in January 1856 was very unclear and almost illegible in parts. The name of the father was inscribed as JOHN Haddow instead of ROBERT Haddow. Isabella, the child's mother was the informant, and her signature shows some signs of difficulty. Isabella gave notice before John Hunter, registrar, at Canongate on 18 January 1856. |
