General Notes: In 1891 the census found Alexander Haimes, head of the household, aged 53 years and born in Haddington, living at 39 Niddry Street, Edinburgh, with his wife Mary, his two children, George and Ellen, and his two nieces, Mary and Rebecca. George Haimes was 22 years old and had been born in Edinburgh. He was an iron moulder to trade. 3 George married Marion RUNCIMAN, daughter of George RUNCIMAN and Euphemia HOGG, on 28 July 1899. (Marion RUNCIMAN was born on 28 January 1864 in Edinburgh, Scotland and died on 26 September 1937.) |
