   Cause of his death was cardiac hypertrophy and dilatation and pulmonary apoplexy.2

  General Notes:

Alexander Winton was recorded in the 15-19 years age group by the 1841 census. He worked as a Painter's Apprentice. He had been born outside of Midlothian.

Alexander Winton died in 1873. His death certificate recorded him as 49 years old and single. He was a journeyman housepainter. His usual residence was 8 South Richmond Street, Edinburgh. His father was deceased. 1 2

  Medical Notes:

A. James MB CM certified the causes of death.

Euphemia Fraser, of 8 South Richmond Street, gave notice of Alexander's death before the registrar, Alfred Macleod, at Edinburgh on 28 May 1896. 2
