In the parish of Tullynessle and Forbes, Aberdeenshire, Peter Holme [sic] was recorded by the 1861 census as head of a small household living at Manse Cottage. In the household lived Peter, his wife Margret Holme, and their two children. The elder child was named as William W. Holme. He was recorded as 7 years of age and had been born in Tullynessle. He was a scholar.




William was the informant of his father's death in 1881. His address then was recorded as 6 South Elgin Street Edinburgh.




William Home, of 95 Burnside Street, Glasgow, the son of Margaret Home, gave notice of his mother's death before the registrar at Tullynessle on 30 January 1900.




In his death certificate of 1933 William Home, aged 78 years, was recorded as "Formerly a Dock Checker, widower of 1st Margaret Oag 2nd Flora Mckenzie". Both of his parents were deceased. 1 2
