General Notes: "20th September, 1679. - Of this date Christian Irvine, eldest lawful daughter of the deceased John Irvine of Brucklaw, and Alexander Forbes of Auchmaladdie, her husband; Lucresia Irvine, also lawful daughter of the said John Irvine and Arthur Dingwall of Brownhill, her husband and eldest brother of George Dingwall in Biffie; and Marion Irvine, only child of the said John Irvine, by Jean Johnston, his second wife, were charged by the said George Dingwall to enter heirs to their father, the said John Irvine. - (Papers of Mr. Fordyce of Culsh; MS.
