Helenor had a relationship with James V STEWART King of Scots, son of James IV STEWART King of Scots and Margaret TUDOR.1 (James V STEWART King of Scots was born on 10 April 1512 in Linlithgow, West Lothian, Scotland,1 died on 14 December 1542 in Falkland, Fife, Scotland 1 and was buried in 1542 in Holyrood House, Edinburgh, Scotland 1.). The cause of his death was 'grief' after Scots defeat at Battle of Solway Moss.

Helenor next married William HAY 6th Earl of Erroll, son of William HAY 5th Earl of Erroll and Elizabeth RUTHVEN.2 (William HAY 6th Earl of Erroll was born 1521(1522) 2 and died on 11 April 1541 2.)


  Marriage Notes:

"William, sixth Earl of Erroll, had a precept of sasine as his father's heir in Slains (which was held blench) 3 September 1522, while Erroll remained in the King's hands by reason of his minority. He died under age 11 April 1541, aged twenty. He married Elenor or Helen Stewart, only daughter of John, third Earl of Lennox, who survived him, had a gift of the nonentry of the mails of Slains of the Whitsunday term on 14 May 1541.... He had issue a daughter : Jean, born in 1540, as appears from a ratification by her, being then fourteen years of age complete on 20 April 1554. She married Andrew, eighth Earl of Erroll, as after mentioned."

Helenor next married John GORDON 11th Earl of Sutherland,'the Good Earl John', son of Alexander GORDON Master of Sutherland and Janet STEWART, 15 April 1549(papal dispensation).2 3 (John GORDON 11th Earl of Sutherland,'the Good Earl John' was born about 1522 and died on 23 June 1567 in Dunrobin Castle, Sutherland, Scotland 3.)

"William .... married Elenor or Helen Stewart, only daughter of John, third Earl of Lennox, who survived him .... and married, secondly, in August 1548, John, Earl of Sutherland."
