Another name for David was BOSWELL, David of Glassmonth.1 User ID: J721. David married Grisell WEMYSS, daughter of Sir John WEMYSS of that Ilk and Margaret LIVINGSTONE, 1466(grant and charter).1 (Grisell WEMYSS was born about 1450.) Marriage Notes: "The daughter was Grisel, who married David Boswell of Glassmonth, eldest son and heir of David Boswell of Balmuto. On 9th May 1466 her father obliged himself to pay 240 merks of tocher, and on 18th May, same year, he granted to her and her husband the lands of Tillybreak, and an annualrent of 40s. from Little Lun. She and her husband had also a charter of the half lands of Balbedie and Strathruddie, and others in Fife, on 21st December 1466. They had issue." David next married Margaret SINCLAIR, daughter of William SINCLAIR 3rd Earl of Orkney, Earl of Caithness, 2nd Lord Sinclair and Marjory SUTHERLAND.2 (Margaret SINCLAIR was born about 1456.) Marriage Notes: "Margaret (Sinclair), married to David Boswell of Balmuto." |
