Elizabeth married William LESLIE, son of William LESLIE 1st of Warthill and Janet CRUICKSHANK heiress of Warthill.^{1 2 3} (William LESLIE was born about 1521 and died before 1592 ².). The cause of his death was killing by William Gordon 5th laird of Gight.

"Before he succeeded to Gight in 1592, William (Gordon 5th of Gight) had made himself a terror. Let me summarise his career :

No date. According to Colonel Leslie in the History of the Leslies (iii., 296), he killed William Leslie (son of William Leslie, first of Warthill), who had married a daughter of Gordon of Auchindoir. Gordon was really quarrelling with Troup of Begshall, and Leslie seems to have interfered. At any rate, he was killed more by accident than design."
