"Alexander Leslie, third Baron of Wardis, married, first, Margaret Forbes, daughter of Alexander Forbes of Towie. They got a charter from Queen Mary of the lands of Taviltye, dated at St. Andrews, 13th October 1546. They had issue

I. William, who succeeded as fourth Baron of Wardis.

II. Patrick of Duncanston, married Isabella Seton of Meldrum.

III. A;exander, who got a charter of the lands of Dyce, 8th July 1585.

Note:

Alexander Leslie did marry a Margaret Forbes of Towie-Forbes, but she was the sister and not the daughter of Alexander Forbes of Towie. The daughter of Alexander Forbes was married in the late 1540s to John Coutts of Auchtercoul.
