Duncan of Drumalachie married Bessie Crichtone, daughter to the Laird off Conland who did bear to him three sons and ane daughter : the name of the eldest son was called William Forbes of Litle Kildrimie, who was predecessor of the house of Towie; the name of the second was John Forbes, called the glyed Laird of Brux, of whom is descended the house of Brux ; the name of the third, Mr. John Forbes, parsone of Forbes; the name of the daughter was Agnes Forbes, married on the Laird of Auchinhove Dugat ...."
