  Marriage Notes:

"Thomas (Ogilvy) and his wife, Elizabeth Douglas, had a charters of the lands of Balloch and Pitnacree in the Barony of Alyth granted by Alexander Lindsay earl of Crawford at Stirling on 29 April 1453. [2 RMS Vol.ii 769]"

"It is conjectured that Thomas had sided with the Lindsays through his marriage bond, his wife being an Elizabeth Douglas and probably a kinswoman of the Earl of Angus who was in alliance with the Lindsays, having supplied 100 Clydesdale men to support them at Arbroath. By 30 June 1448, Thomas was designed of Clova when he witnessed an indenture between John Ogilvy of that Ilk and Robert Seres, burgess of Dundee. Fraser, [1 The Douglas Book Vol.3 p74 Chrtr. 79]"
