GRAY, Marjory 1
Another name for Marjory was GRAY, Marjorie.2 User ID: E44. Marjory married John GRAY 2nd of Crichie, then 9th Lord Gray, son of John GRAY of Crichie and Alison TROUP, by February 1683.1 (John GRAY 2nd of Crichie, then 9th Lord Gray was born about 1655.) Marriage Notes: "John Gray of Crichie, who, in virtue of the resignation before narrated, became ninth Lord Gray even during the lifetime of his father-in-law Patrick, eighth Lord, and took his seat in Parliament. On 21 September 1686 he obtained an order from King James VII. on the Commissioners of the Treasury for the sum of £1500 in consideration of his services to King Charles II. and the sufferings by fine of his grandfather in 1645 and 1646 for assisting the Marquess of Montrose. He married Marjorie, daughter of Patrick, eighth Lord, his cousin-gerrnan, as above mentioned, and died 10 January 1723. She was dead in 1707. They had issue" |
