Agnes next married Sir David LINDSAY of Beaufort and Edzell, son of Sir Walter LINDSAY of Beaufort and Edzell and Isabel LEVINGTON 'of Saltcoats', 1514 (contract) then set aside.2 The marriage ended in annulment. (Sir David LINDSAY of Beaufort and Edzell was born about 1463 and died in 1529 2.)


  Marriage Notes:

"Sir David appears to have been contracted in marriage with an Agnes Ogilvy in 1514, which was set aside on account of propinquity in blood, after which he married, as his second wife, Elizabeth Spens, daughter of the Laird of Bodum (afterwards wife of John Anstruther of Anstruther, and dead in 1532). By her he had Alexander Lindsay of Vane, whose family is traceable for several generations, and Janet, wife of Ramsay of Balnabreich. Sir David was dead in 1529."
