Jean married Sir David CARNEGIE of Pittarrow, 1st Baronet, son of Sir Alexander CARNEGIE of Pittarrow and Margaret ARBUTHNOTT, 9 and 30 April 1697(bond).1 (Sir David CARNEGIE of Pittarrow, 1st Baronet was born about 1641 and died in November 1708 1.)


  Marriage Notes:

"Sir David married, thirdly, about 1696, Jean, daughter of James Burnett of Monboddo. They married apparently without any written contract, but by a bond, dated 9 and 30 April 1697, Sir David conveyed to her in liferent the lands of Redhall, Balfeich, Pittengairdner, and others, to provide her with a sum of money in lieu of her third of the moveables. She survived him, and was buried at Montrose 15 May 1740. By her he had issue"
