General Notes:
"On 15 Mar 1490/91 John was granted a precept of sasine by Archibald, earl of Angus confirming him as son and heir of the deceased Walter Ogilvy of Inverarrity in the lands of Ludeinch and Wester Lednathie.[1]
The earl of Angus later granted him a Precept of Clare Constat as heir to his deceased father, Walter, in the lands of Inverquharity, Creiff, Newton, Balbridie, Kinnordy, and Easter Lednathtie. [2]
John was principal witness to a Royal Charter of Confirmation made at Dundee on 15 April 1506 regarding a benefice made by the deceased John Earl of Crawford for the souls of his wife and the Kings James III and James IV. [3]
The latest evidence of John is on 18 April 1513 when he appeared, probably at Finavon, as a witness to a Precept of sasine by John, earl of Crawford, in favour of Alexander Meldrum of Segygie, of lands of Newhall in Fife.[4]"
