"He (John Forrester) was buried in Corstorphine Church, where his tomb still remains. Like that of his father it has the effigies of himself and his wife, whose name is unknown but whose arms, a bend engrailed, appear impaled with those of her husband. He had by his wife apparently one son and one daughter"
