Anna married William TURING, son of Sir William TURING 10th of Foveran and Unknown.1 2 (William TURING was born about 1593 and died by 23 December 1616 1.)

  Marriage Notes:

"In the 'Index to Sasines - Aberdeen - 1599-1609 & 1617-1629', page 145, available at https://www.familysearch.org/ark:/61903/3:1:3Q9M-CS3Q-H7N3-S?i=83&cat=666861, near the bottom, there are two sasines (from 1625 & 1627) which mention

'Ann, relict of William Turing of Foverane, and spouse of Alexander, Master of Forbes'.

It seems to be universally accepted that Ann Forbes, daughter of John Forbes of Pitsligo, married Alexander Forbes (later Lord Forbes), son of Arthur, Lord Forbes, in 1618, but nowhere before have I found mentioned that she had previously been married to William Turing of Foveran [....]

If I am right then Ann would have been married very young .... 'The House of Forbes' says her parents married in 1597, so perhaps she could have been born as early as about 1598.

You have a Sir William Turing of Foveran in your tree, who died before 1613 - she might, just, have been married to him, but think it's more likely she married his son William, who would have been the elder brother of the Sir John Turing of Foveran from your tree. I know this William exists from the National Records of Scotland Ref GD57/1/386, which says:

"Instrument of Sasine, in favour of John Turing of Foverane as heir to the deceased William Turing of Foverane, his brother, of the barony of Foverane with the advocation of the altar of St. James, formerly situated in the parish church of Aberdeen, the lands of Tillifour, Tibbertie and Watrichmuir; following on a chancery precept dated 23 December 1616'.

So, to me it looks like she is most likely to have married William the son, in or before 1616, he died before 23 Dec 1616, and she then married Alexander Forbes 2 years later."

from email cited 1

Anna next married Lieutenant-General Alexander FORBES 10th Lord Forbes, son of Arthur FORBES 9th Lord Forbes and Jane ELPHINSTONE, in 1618.2 3 4 (Lieutenant-General Alexander FORBES 10th Lord Forbes was born about 1600 and died on 20 April 1672 4.)
