Alick Fowlie and Mary Cowieson were married after banns according to the forms of the Established Church of Scotland. They were married by William Forbes, Minister of Mannsfield. James Fowlie and James Forbes were witnesses.

Both parties were 21 years old, and all of their parents were living.

Alick Fowlie, of Duff Hill Portlethen, was a farm servant.

Mary Cowieson, of Balgownie Old Machar, was a domestic servant.
