Cause of his death was incipient insanity, two days in hospital.5 General Notes: In the 1841 census for Airdrie, Lanarkshire, John and Jean Gartshore and their seven children were living at Hallcraig or Baillie's Lane. Alexander Donaldson, aged in 60-64 years age group, was also living in the household. John Gartshore was a policeman by occupation and his age was recorded as in 45-49 years group.
