James married Marion BLAIR, daughter of Joseph BLAIR and Margret ADDIE, on 15 July 1870 in Bellshill, Bothwell Parish, Lanarkshire, Scotland.1 (Marion BLAIR was born about 1847 in Lanarkshire, Scotland and died after 21 June 1899 2.)


  Marriage Notes:

The marriage took place according to the forms of the United Presbyterian Church. John Wilson, minister at Bellshill officiated. Witnesses were Joseph Watson and Jane Gartshore.

James Gartshore, a tube dresser, was aged 24 years and single. He lived at 67 Aitchison Street Airdrie. Both of his parents were deceased.

Marion Blair was a domestic servant, aged 24 years and single. Her address was 72 Stirling Street Airdrie.

The marriage was registered on 18 July 1870 at Bothwell. 1
