"The Lord President's son, who bad fought. on the Hanoverian side at Culloden, succeeded his father. VI. John, married (I) Jane, daughter of Sir Arthur Forbes of Craigievar, by whom he bad two sons ; Duncan, died young, and Arthur, his heir. He married, secondly, Henrietta , daughter of Captain John Forbes of Newe (who afterwards married Robert Grant of Drumninnor)."
