Margaret married John ARBUTHNOTT of Fordoun, Sheriff Principal of Kincardine, son of Robert ARBUTHNOTT 2nd Viscount of Arbuthnott and Katharine GORDON, 30 May 1695(contract).1 (John ARBUTHNOTT of Fordoun, Sheriff Principal of Kincardine was baptised on 5 March 1673 in Bervie parish, Kincardineshire, Scotland 2 and was buried on 10 January 1737 in Arbuthnott parish, Kincardineshire, Scotland 1.)


  Marriage Notes:

"John (Arbuthnot) of Fordoun who acquired that estate from his brother the third Viscount. He married Margaret Falconer, eldest daughter of Sir James Falconer of Phesdo, one of the Senators of the College of Justice (contract dated 30 May 1695)."
