Note:
Indexed as the will of 'Janet' Gordon, the will is actually that of "Jannet Gordon Relict of the deceast Alexander Forbes Lochermick Merchant in Aberdeen". It was made on 30 August 1750 while she was in a "Dying State and Condition". William Johnston, Pewterer in Aberdeen, is appointed by her to to take care of "the Interment and Buriall of my Body in a private and decent manner in the Buriall place of my said deceast husband". William Johnston is also nominated as her Executor. Jannet could not write herself and John Clark, public notary, subscribed on her behalf. Most of the document is an Inventory of her goods and resume of her financial affairs.
