Helen married Sir Alexander BARCLAY-INNES 6th of Coxton and Towie-Barclay, 3rd Baronet, son of Sir George INNES 5th of Coxton, 2nd Baronet, Jacobite 1715 and Jean GORDON. (Sir Alexander BARCLAY-INNES 6th of Coxton and Towie-Barclay, 3rd Baronet was born about 1707 and died about 1735 ².)

  Marriage Notes:

"Helen, married Sir Alexander Barclay of Towie. She died soon after her marriage, leaving one daughter Jane, who married Dr. Dalrymple of North Berwick, brother to Elizabeth, Helen's aunt."

Dr Robert Dalrymple was the brother of Elizabeth Dalrymple, the wife of Jane's uncle William Duff of Crombie. The above text should probably read "Jane's aunt", rather than "Helen's aunt". Helen was the sister-in-law of Elizabeth Dalrymple. ¹
