Other names for Ann were McCUE, Ann,2 3 McCUE, Annie,4 O'RORK, Ann 2 and O'ROURKE, Annie.4 General Notes: The 1881 census for Mossend in Lanarkshire recorded "Ann McCue", aged 14 years living with her family at 7 Pit Street. She had been born in Mossend. Ann married John RORK, son of John ROURKE and Ann RENNY, on 29 December 1888 in RC Chapel, Busby, Renfrewshire, Scotland.1 (John RORK was born on 24 July 1868 in Cambusnethan, Lanarkshire, Scotland 5 and died before 14 November 1948 4.) Marriage Notes: The marriage was solemnised after banns according to the forms of the Roman Catholic Church, the celebrant being Louis De Meulenaere and the witnesses James Morgan and Ann McMahon. the marriage was recorded as taking place in "the Roman Catholic Chapel Sheddens now Busby". |
