Euphemia married Sir Patrick GRAHAM Earl of Strathearn, jure uxoris, son of Sir Patrick GRAHAM of Kincardine and Dundaff and Egidia STEWART.1 2 (Sir Patrick GRAHAM Earl of Strathearn, jure uxoris was born about 1385 and died on 10 August 1413 in near Crieff, Perthshire, Scotland 2.)

  Marriage Notes:

"About the year 1406 he (Sir Patrick Graham) married his second cousin Euphemia, Countess Palatine of Strathearn, daughter and heiress of David Stewart, Earl of Strathearn, son of Robert II., and Euphemia Ross, and became in her right Earl of Strathearn. From their son Malise were descended the Earls of Menteith."

from Scots Peerage (vol 6)

Note: "About the year 1406" raises some difficulty in dating. "By 1406" might be more accurate. See Research Notes on Elizabeth Graham (V480).

"She was married to Patrick Graham, son of Sir Patrick Graham of Dundaff. He appears to have taken the designation of Earl of Strathearn, as appears from a charter cited by Lord Strathallan in his history of the Drummonds, and others in the Register of the Great Seal. He was killed on St. Laurence Day, 10 August 1413, near Crieff, by Sir John Drummond of Concraig, Stewart of Strathearn, in an encounter between them arising out of the Earl's dissatisfaction with Sir John's official duties.''

from Scots Peerage (vol 8) 1 2

Euphemia next married Sir Patrick DUNBAR 'of Bele', son of Sir Patrick DUNBAR and Isabella RANDOLPH.2 3 (Sir Patrick DUNBAR 'of Bele' was born about 1356 and died after 1343 3.)

  Marriage Notes:

"His wife, in 1434, was Euphemia Stewart, daughter of David, Earl of Strathearn, and widow of Patrick Graham of Dundaff. He was alive in 1438. He had issue at
least two sons, Patrick and George, and is supposed to have been the ancestor of William Dunbar the poet."

from Scots Peerage (vol 3)

"The Countess survived him (Patrick Graham, her first husband), and had dispensations to marry Robert Stewart of Fife, eldest son of Murdach, Duke of Albany (on 4 May 1414), also Robert's brother Walter (5 September 1415), but she married, secondly. Sir Patrick Dunbar of Bele, and was still alive in 1434, but is not again named in record."
