James married Margaret MOIRE, daughter of John MOIR of Barns, younger Merchant, Burgess in Aberdeen and Mary COCHRANE.¹ (Margaret MOIRE was baptised on 11 November 1669 in Saint Nicholas parish, Aberdeen, Scotland ².)
