In 1600, or thereabout, he acquired Bruckles from William Meldrum of Badenscoth, Three years later, he purchased Badenscoth from the Meldrums, and in 16 14, he acquired Darley from Meldrum of Iden. In 1634, George Gordon died, and was succeeded in the estate of Badenscoth by his third son Patrick Gordon of Badenscoth." Research Notes: BADENSCOTH Patrick married Daughter GARDYNE, daughter of Alexander GARDYNE of Blackford and Marie CHEYNE.1 (Daughter GARDYNE was born about 1610.) Marriage Notes: "Patrick Gordon of Badenscoth. He married first, Gardyn, a daughter of Gardyn of Blackford..." Patrick next married Jean OGILVY, daughter of Sir George OGILVY Lord Banff, Provost of Banff and Janet SUTHERLAND, 12 August and 2 September 1648(contract).1 2 3 (Jean OGILVY was born about 1625.)
