"George Gordon was a great acquirer of lands. In 1600, or thereabout, he acquired Bruckles from William Meldrum of Badenscoth, Three years later, he purchased Badenscoth from the Meldrums, and in 16 14, he acquired Darley from Meldrum of Iden. In 1634, George Gordon died, and was succeeded in the estate of Badenscoth by his third son Patrick Gordon of Badenscoth."

"In 1669, Agnes Gordon and her husband, the tutor of Glenbucket, gave to her father, Patrick Gordon, a deed of renunciation of the lands of Darley, which they held in security for money which had been paid up, and acknowledged in the deed. Badenscoth is in Aberdeenshire, about 15 miles east of Huntly.


Patrick married Daughter GARDYN, daughter of Alexander GARDYN of Blackford and Marie CHEYNE.1 (Daughter GARDYN was born about 1595.)
