The 1861 census for Dundee, Angus recorded Patrick Vallelly living with his mother and two sisters at 24 Mid Wynd. He was a mill overseer and aged 24 years. He had been born in County Tyrone, Ireland.
In 1864 Patrick Vallely was one of the witnesses at the marriage of his sister Helen in Dundee.
