Cause of his death was killed.1 Another name for Richard was LAUDER, William.3 General Notes: "On 19th September 1566 Richard, son and heir apparent of Robert Lauder of that Ilk, had to find caution to answer for his part in the crime of the slaughter of George Wedderat, Burgess of Lauder, in September 1565. Richard married Eupheme MACDOUGAL, daughter of Thomas MACDOUGAL Laird of Mackerstoun, Roxburghshire and Janet SCOTT, 4 May 1556(contract).1 (Eupheme MACDOUGAL was born about 1530 and died before 1565 1.) Richard next married Margaret CAIRNCROSS 21 June 1565(contract).1 (Margaret CAIRNCROSS was born about 1535 and died after April 1597 1.) |
