"Helen, confirmed as one of her mother's executors in 1565. She married Alexander Fraser, son and heir of Thomas Fraser of Durris (contract dated 2 August 1577 ), with issue."

"Alexander Fraser's marriage contract transcription in the Inventory, dated 02 Aug 1577, says

'Alexander Fraser obliges himself to marry Helen Arbuthnott in the face of holy kirk, between and the 17th Decemb then next ...'

Furthermore, in the follow-up charter, (dated 20-Jan-1577/8 in the Inventory and 30-Jan-1577/8 in RMS Vol 4), they are described as husband and wife."
