"Cumine, William, of Pitullie
Eldest son of George Cumine 2nd of Pitullie by his first wife Jean, daughter of Captain Robert Urqhart of Burdsyards (now Sandquhar), Forres, born in 1721. By his (ie George's) first wife he had four sons and two daughters, and in 1728 he married Christina, daughter of Sir John Guthrie of Ludquharn, by whom he had 17 children. In 1752 he married Jean, daughter of William Moir of Lonmay, and had an additional 9 children. Died Edinburgh in 1790."
