Giles married Sir William DOUGLAS 9th Earl of Angus, son of Archibald DOUGLAS 2nd of Glenbervie and Agnes KEITH, 14 February 1552 (contract).1 (Sir William DOUGLAS 9th Earl of Angus was born about 1527,2 died on 1 July 1591 in Glenbervie, Kincardineshire, Scotland 2 and was buried in Glenbervie, Kincardineshire, Scotland.)


  Marriage Notes:

"The translation of the above is : 'Here lies the most illustrious William Douglas, Earl of Angus, previously Lord of Glenbervie, who succeeded to the said Earldom by hereditary right. He died 1st July, 1591, in the 59th year of his age.'
'Here lies an illustrious lady, Aegidia Graham, wife of the foresaide Earl, with whom she lived in the closest affertion for 40 years. In her widowhrod she erected this monument for her husband, and died on the day in the year aged years.'
The above Countess Aegidia was a daughter of Graham of Morphie, but neither the date of her death nor her age is recorded on the monument."
