Isabella married Andrew DRUMMOND of Stanmore, son of Sir John DRUMMOND 3rd of Machany and Margaret STEWART, on 7 November 1716.^{1 2} (Andrew DRUMMOND of Stanmore was born about 1681,² died on 2 February 1769 ² and was buried on 9 February 1769 in Stanmore, Middlesex, England ².)

"Andrew, born about 1681 ; founded the great banking house of Drummond at Charing Cross. He purchased the estate of Stanmore, co. Middlesex, 1729, and died, and was buried at Stanmore 9, February 1769. He married, 7 November 1716, Isabella Strachan. She died 13 February 1731, having had issue, besides a daughter Isabel, one son : - (1) John of Stanmore, born 27 April 1723"
