Andrew married Isabella STRAUCHAN, daughter of Reverend Dr John STRACHAN Minister of Tarves parish, Professor of Theology, University of Edinburgh and Isabel IRVINE, on 7 November 1716.^{1 2} (Isabella STRAUCHAN was baptised on 15 August 1689 in Edinburgh parish, Edinburgh, Scotland ^{1 3} and died on 13 February 1731 ^{1 2}.)

"Andrew, born about 1681 ; founded the great banking house of Drummond at Charing Cross. He purchased the estate of Stanmore, co. Middlesex, 1729, and died, and was buried at Stanmore 9, February 1769. He married, 7 November 1716, Isabella Strachan. She died 13 February 1731, having had issue, besides a daughter Isabel, one son : - (1) John of Stanmore, born 27 April 1723"
