   Cause of his death was cardiac valvular disease over 10 days and oedema of the lungs ove 4 days.1

  General Notes:

Owen McGuire was the informant of his daughter, Mary's birth in Johnstone, Renfrewshire, in 1875. He was recorded as being a coal miner. The certificate also recorded that he and his wife were married in October 1856 in Ireland. Owen made his X mark.

The 1881 census for the civil parish of Paisley Abbey, Renfrewshire, recorded Owen McGuire as head of the household living at 6 Russell Street, Johnstone. With him, there, lived his wife and seven children. He was recorded as 50 years of age and had been born in Ireland. He worked as a shale coal miner.

The 1895 marriage certificate of Mary McGuire recorded her father as a coal miner.

When Owen McGuire died in 1902, his death certificate recorded him as a coal miner who had been married first to Mary McGuire, and then to Margaret Rooney. His recorded age at death was 65 years. Both of his parents were deceased. 1

W. Airlie Ogilvy LRCP etc. certified the causes of death.

Patrick Feenie, Owen's son in law, who was present where the death occurred, gave notice of Owen's death before the registrar, H. MacMillan, at Blantyre on 31 March 1902.

Owen married Mary McGUIRE in October 1856 in Ireland. (Mary McGUIRE was born in 1835 in Ireland and died in 1888 in Johnstone, Renfrewshire, Scotland.)
