Joseph McGlone was recorded in the 1905 marriage certificate of his daughter Elizabeth as a metal breaker (?).

Joseph McGlone, who had been present, gave notice of his daughter Elizabeth's birth before the registrar, James Mitchell, at Coatbridge on 29 December 1879. He was recorded as a grocer by occupation, and the date and place of his marriage were also recorded as 1879 February 27 at Whifflet. ^{2 3}

Joseph married Mary MANN, daughter of Francis MANN and Elizabeth DORANS, on 27 February 1879 in Whifflet, Lanarkshire, Scotland.¹ (Mary MANN was born on 1 November 1855 in Old Monkland Parish, Lanarkshire, Scotland ⁴ and died after 4 January 1905 ².)

  Marriage Notes:

The marriage was celebrated after banns according to the rites and forms of the Roman Catholic Church. The priest was John Van Den Hoot. he witnesses were Peter McConachie and Catherine Garry.

Joseph McGlone was a bachelor aged 23 years. He lived at New Row Carnbroe. He was a grocer.

Mary Mann, who made her X mark, was 22 years old and unmarried. She too lived at New Row Carnbroe. She worked as a domestic servant.

The marriage was registered at Coatbridge on 3 March 1879, James Mitchell being the registrar. ¹
