Henry McAlinden was a weaver and resided at Analoist in Seagoe, according to the civil birth registration of his daughter Margaret in 1866, his son Hugh in 1870, daughter Mary in 1872, son John in 1875, son Edward in 1877 and daughter Catherine in Lurgan, County Armagh. In daughter Elizabeth's birth registration of 1868 he was recorded as a farmer.

Henry McLinden was a general labourer according to the marriage certificate of his son Hugh in 1895. 5 6 7 8 9
