There is a disparity between the dates noted for John's birth, baptism and registration. The original baptism record is definitely in line with other dates there. Possibly the parents gave the later date as birth in order to obviate a penalty for late registration. Daughter Elizabeth's, daughter Mary's, son Edward's birth and baptism dates are of a similar nature:
