Annie Rourke was aged 26 years when recorded by the 1901 census for Chapelhall, where she had been born. She had two sons and two daughters betwee the ages of 5 months and 6 years to look after, as well as her coal miner husband. ²

Annie married Francis O'RORKE, son of John ROURKE and Ann RENNY, on 1 January 1895 in Chapelhall, Holytown district, Bothwell parish, Lanarkshire, Scotland.¹ (Francis O'RORKE was born 20 January 1874 at 9.00 pm in Baird's Square, New Monkland, Lanarkshire, Scotland ⁷ and died after 12 February 1926 ³.)

  Marriage Notes:

The marriage was soleminsed after banns according to the forms of the Roman Catholic Church, the celebrant being John Macdonald. The witnesses were Patrick McGinnis and Bridget McLaughlin.

Francis Rourke was single, aged 20 years according to his marriage certificate. He worked as a coal miner and lived at Sneddons land, Chapelhall.

Annie McIntyre was single and 19 years of age. She lived at Briggate, Chapelhall and was a worker in Brickfield.
