General Notes: In 1861 the census for Bothwell parish Lanarkshire recorded Caterine Walsh, an 8 year old scholar, living with her family in Holytown. She had two sisters, Mary and Margaret, and two brothers, Patrick and James, all older than she was. Medical Notes: Alexander Noble "Home Porter" was the informant of Catherine's death. 4 Catherine married Patrick McGUNNIGAL, son of James McGUNNIGAL (DNA Linked) and Margaret HARKIN (DNA Linked), on 27 January 1881 in Chapelhall, Holytown district, Bothwell parish, Lanarkshire, Scotland. (Patrick McGUNNIGAL was born about 1852 in County Donegal, Ireland and died 15 May 1920 at 4.20 am in 37b Manse Street, Coatbridge, Lanarkshire, Scotland.). The cause of his death was influenza and cardiac failure.4 Marriage Notes: The marriage, after banns, was celebrated according to the rites and forms of the Roman Catholic Church. Father Hubert Van Stiphout RCC married the couple. The witnesses were Thomas Moran and Mary Rourke. |
