In 1901 Lizzie McConnochie was recorded as 1 year old by the census of that year. She was the youngest child of the six children listed by the enumerator in the family then. She had been born in Shotts parish.

When Lizzie died in 1978, her occupation was noted as 'grocer's assistant retired'. She was aged 79 years. Her usual residence was 71 Main Street, Cleland. ^{1 2 3}
