  Research Notes:

AGE

Sarah does seem a bit old to be Martin's mother if the ages noted for both are accurate. It may be there was an exaggeration up for Sarah, and down for Martin.

  Medical Notes:

R. Gardner MD certified the cause of death.

William Kennedy, a neighbour of the deceased, gave notice of his death before the registrar, William Gaff Fleming at Johnstone on May 6 1874, and made his X mark. 3

  Marriage Notes:

The date and place given in the IGI of 25 July 1852 at Old Monkland, Lanarkshire, Scotland was likely to have been the banns of marriage.
