In 1901 the census for Old Monkland recorded Henry Orourke living in Coatbridge at 57 Langmuir Square with his mother, sisters and brother Francis. He was 21 years old, born in Quarter Lanarkshire, and worked as a "coal miner (hewer)".

In 1903 Henry's brother Frank married. One of the witnesses was named Henry O'Rourke and is likely to have been this person.

Henry O'Rourke, who had been present where the death occurred, gave notice of his mother's death before the registrar, Gregor Grant, at Coatbridge on 6 February 1930. ^{1 2 3 4}
