Maggie M. George was the only daughter living in the family home of James George in the 1891 census for St Quivox parish, Ayrshire. Her age was recorded as 15 years and her birthplace was Kirkmichael, Ayrshire.

Margaret Powell, Sarah Robertson's daughter, was the informant of her death. She gave notice at Glasgow on 6 October 1930. ^{2 3 4}

Margaret married Thomas POWELL, son of John POWELL and Helen McLEARY, on 4 July 1901 in Bridge Lodge, Auchincruive, Ayrshire, Scotland.¹ (Thomas POWELL was born about 1876 ¹.)

The marriage took place after banns according to the forms of the Established Church of Scotland. James Wilson, Minister of St Quivox, performed the ceremony. The witnesses were Maggie D. Robertson and David Powell.

Thomas Powell was a single man, aged 25 years, living at Townhead, Old Cumnock. He was a life insurance agent. His mother was deceased.

Maggie D. R. Miller was a dressmaker by trade, She lived at Bridge Lodge, Auchincruive, and was 26 years old and single. Her father was noted as "John Miller Contractor (Deceased)".

The marriage was registered at St Quivox on 5 July 1901. ¹
