Another name for Mary was PHEELY, Mary.1 General Notes: Mary Feely was recorded by the 1851 census for Hamilton living at 93 Muir Street. She was designated by the enumerator as the daughter of John Feely and Roseanne Feely. She was unmarried and aged 26 years. She worked as a sewer and had been born in Ireland. Mary married James DOCHERTY, son of John DOCHERTY and Elizabeth DUDZIE, on 11 February 1860 in Catholic Church, Carluke, Lanarkshire, Scotland.1 (James DOCHERTY was born in 1832 1.) Marriage Notes: The marriage was celebrated according to the rites and forms of the Roman Catholic Church. The celebrant was J. McCay priest at Carluke. The witnesses were John McPeat and M. McKay who made an X mark. |
